Semi-permanent makeup

Semi-Permanent Makeup consists of implanting pigments into the Dermis by injection using a sterile needle. The color contains sterile mineral pigments without preservatives. All products have been laboratory tested to avoid any allergies. This technique allows you to redraw sparse or non-existent eyebrowscaused by excessive hair removal, certain treatments or skin diseases. It is also possible to redraw the contour of the lips, to intensify the look with an eyeliner or even to recolor scars.

Who can be affected by semi-permanent make-up?

Above all, even if permanent makeup can be practiced on all skin types, forget the idea if you have hemophilia, under specific treatments or diabetic. It is used to save time and avoid having to apply makeup and remove makeup every day. But it is also ideal for sportswomen, to prevent it from running during exercise and having to do touch-ups several times a day. It is intended for people who have trouble putting on makeup (vision problems, tremors etc.), for those with a face damaged by burns, scars. Finally, to anyone who has facial asymmetry, depigmentation or alopecia (absence of permanent or temporary hair growth).

How long does semi-permanent makeup last?

In fact, here permanent does not mean that you will be wearing makeup for the rest of your life. It is not a definitive make-up. We say permanent because it can last several years, 1 to 3 years on average. This duration will depend on many parameters: lifestyle, sun exposure, colors chosen, etc. Also, with the natural exfoliation of the skin, the colors will decrease in intensity until they fade. Semi-permanent make-up remains very natural. If you want to intensify it, you can always add classic makeup to it.

Choosing
the right specialist

To avoid any surprises, be sure to choose a qualified and recognized professional with experience in permanent makeup.
The procedure is performed by a specialized beautician. Some even specialize in certain parts of the face: lips, eyes, eyebrows, etc.
It would indeed be a pity if the result did not meet your expectations and to be made up like this for several years…
Make sure that the equipment used is sterile and single-use. The cleanliness of the premises must, of course, be irreproachable. The specialist must wear sterile gloves during the procedure.

Another important point is monitoring

The control visit is very important, it allows to verify that the make-up is well done. This is where some corrections can be made, if desired.
And since permanent makeup is a tattoo that lasts for several years, you better trust your practitioner.
If all these conditions are met, your permanent makeup is on its way to being a real success!

STEPS

Procedure
of the intervention

That’s it, you’ve made up your mind and are ready to take the plunge!
Here’s how the operation works.
The professional who will carry out your permanent make-up will first draw a pencil line to see the result you want.
Then when you have agreed on the colors to use and the outline of your makeup, the act can begin.
The process is very precise, it is done millimeter by millimeter!
If we compare the technique of permanent makeup to that of tattooing, it is in no way comparable in terms of sensation.

Know that the act is bearable and that there is the possibility of applying a local anesthetic.
The duration of the intervention itself varies according to the areas to be treated and their number.
It is estimated between 1 hour and 4 hours.

02

After the intervention

02

After the intervention

The area of the face where you used permanent makeup may show some redness. If it is the eyes, there may be slight swelling for 48 hours.

Take care to clean the area well with an antiseptic product (except for the eyes, where you will have to apply a specific cream).
The sun is excluded for a week as well as prolonged contact with water in general (bath, swimming pool etc.)

Two weeks later, the treated area may still feel sensitive.
After a few days, you may have some scabs and itching. Above all, do not scratch, it could remove the color of your makeup. This reaction is normal, it is a sign of good healing.

The makeup color is always darker in the early stages. After a month, these will stabilize and take on the shade initially chosen. They will fade as your skin naturally exfoliates.

It will be necessary to return, less than a month after the intervention, to the professional who carried out your permanent make-up for any touch-ups.

What parts of the face are affected?

semi-permanent lip makeup

For a practical side: The lipstick sometimes erases easily or leaves traces.
For an aesthetic side (lips that are too thin, asymmetrical, etc.): permanent makeup will allow you to reshape your lips.

Permanent makeup allows you to outline your lips or do lip fillers for a fuller mouth.
The latter is not intended to give you the effect of a lipstick but rather to restore a natural color to your lips by giving them volume.
The shade should be able to blend with your natural shade. You will have glowing lips!

semi-permanent eyebrow makeup

Often neglected, eyebrows can quickly become unattractive: bushy, too sparse… However, when they are well cared for, they make it possible to highlight the look.

Whether it is to correct them because they are poorly provided, to redraw them, to thicken them, to hide a scar, etc., it will allow you to enhance your look.
Made meticulously, each hair is redrawn one by one for a spectacular result.

semi-permanent eye makeup

To beautify your look, permanent makeup can allow you to redraw your eyelashes or your eyelids.

Thicken the line of the eyelashes, increase the density of the eyelashes (flash-liner) or even draw a fine line on the outer corner of the eye, (upper or lower) etc. Many possibilities are available to you in eye makeup. Especially since you can, of course, combine the styles.
